given or recieved
and or a favorite food we ate or tried!
Or even a place we went for the holiday season!
So belly up to the bar and SHARE! Pretty please!

I have many Christmas memories...have received many wonderful gifts and have cook and eaten some wonderful Christmas diners, served with my family and friends.
One of my favorite memories is from 1987.
My Dad cook the entire meal
, with all the trimmings and three deserts (he was a terrific cook) and he invitied all of the family (even 2 of his ex-wives, my Mom included) and many of his close friends, there was 26 of us there.
Now what made this dinner on "Christmas Eve" was one; was my Dad's birthday, so I brought a big birthday cake
and two; my Dad was in the "end stages" of throat and lung cancer, and because of surgery and radition he no longer could speak nor could he swollow,
so he also could not eat, nothing at all
.
He had a tube inplanted through his abdomend, he put a high colorie liquid into the tube 5 oz, every 2 hours.
So he cooked and served this dinner (in a lot of pain) and inivited 24 guest and WE ALL had the very best time!
My Dad (Dale) was in tears most of the time,(he never cried) because he was "
So
" happy to be doing this for those he loved, it meant more than even we could have known, he passed away 16 days later, in his sleep and I know that I know he was happy and at peace, and no longer in pain!
So every year on Christmas Eve (my Dad's birthday) and the anniversary of that wonderful dinner he made, I can't help but be moved to tears (I miss him so much) and it makes me smile, remembering the smile on his face during that entire day and evening!
Merry Christmas Everyone!

My favorite memory is over 40 years ago. It was my 8 year old little sister walking into my closed door at five in the morning and all dark in the house because she was so excited it was Christmas morning. My favorite gift memory was when I was 8 and got my first BB gun. My version of " A Christmas Story". Love that movie, too bad we can't stay 8 forever.

When I was a kid I got one of those Transformer Robots. Of course I got many more. I loved them. Matter of fact I still do. Yep I'm talking about the Original Takara die cast metal Transformers. They were very cool. Collectors items now. The newer ones just aren't the same.
